About the Author
Valerie Hoffman is a psychotherapist who resides in Ormond BeachFlorida. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Syracuse. Dr. Hoffman moved to Florida in 1983. Despite going blind at the age of nineteen due to retinal detachments, Dr. Hoffman pursued her education and attained her doctorate in 1997. She currently has a thriving private practice with two offices in Ormond and Daytona Beach. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Hoffman also is the Vice President of the National Board of Forensic Evaluators and serves on the interviewing committee to credential eligible candidates for certification as a forensic psychological evaluator. She has served on the board of directors at the Center for the Visually Impaired since 2003. She is the vice president of the Friends of the Library Access for the talking book library. She enjoys ballroom dancing, gem hunting and traveling in her spare time. This author has written several programs for professionals in her field to receive continuing education credits. She is currently working on a journal article based on forensic psychology as well as in the process of creating her sequel in the Vampire Royalty series.
